Jomsom to Muktinath Trek

 Introduction

Annapurna circuit, one of the most well-known hiking routes is the Jomsom Muktinath trek. Exploring the Tibetan plateau is the main target of this expedition. It is also regarded as the entry of the Upper Mustang, which is where the Tibetan border begins. While trekking in this region, you will be able to see a variety of mountains, including Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mount Annapurna I (8091m), Mount Nilgiri (7040m), Mount Annapurna South (7219m), Mount Annapurna II (7937m), Mount Annapurna III (7555m), Mount Annapurna IV (7525m), Mount Hiunchuli (6441m), Mount Fishtail, also known as Machhapuchhare (6998m), Tukuche peak (6920m), Lamjung Himal (6586m) among others. In addition to admiring the snow-capped mountains, you may also learn about the many cultures of the local ethnic groups, including the Bramin, Chhetri, Thakali, Magar, and Gurung, as well as take in the stunning scenery. Muktinath, which is a popular destination for pilgrimages for both Hindus and Buddhists, this trip is also regarded as a pilgrimage trekking tour.

The Jomsom Muktinath journey begins at Jomsom, a significant commerce hub in the lower Mustang. It travels north to Kagbeni along the Kali Gandaki River, the deepest gorge in the world, before continuing on to Muktinath Temple. It departs from Marpha hamlet, which is known for its apple brandy, after passing through a number of beautiful Thakali native towns. While participating in Annapurna trekking, you can take pleasure in taking a shower at Tatopani (a natural hot spring), visit Ghorepani Poon hill to see the dawn over the mountain and get a birds-eye perspective of several Himalayan pathways, then take the same journey back to Jomsom before flying to Pokhara. Another choice is to walk from Jomsom to Ghandruk, the main hamlet of the Gurung ethnic group, where you can enjoy fantastic views of the Annapurna South and Machhapuchare. From there, you can then board a vehicle and travel to Pokhara and then Kathmandu.

If you have unlimited time to explore the Annapurna region, the Annapurna Circuit Trek, the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek, the Annapurna Base Camp, or the Upper Mustang Trek would be suitable for your trip.
